 Yankie Grant is a comedy/drama actress and charter member of WIFT/Houston. Her acting career began in a Dallas High School Drama class where she won the role of Goldie Hawn in her class spoof of the television series Laugh In.  She fell in love with the laughter and applause and the rest, as they say, is history. Yankie has performed in several theaters around Houston, including Skyline Theater, Actors Workshop and the Country Playhouse Black Box.

Yankie and Melody Moss own Rusty Yankie Productions who co-produced and collaborated with Melrose Fougere to make the REMI award winning short movie, DIVORCE TEXAS STYLE. She is co-owner of Murder Mystery Madness, a Murder Mystery Party Company.  Recently, she has been working in various capacities with Walker Cable Productions, Dexter & Keith Productions, Greenwood Films, Papillion Productions, as an Associate Producer, Script Supervisor and Casting for their films.   In 2007 she had the pleasure of working with Eric Breaden, Billy Zane, George Kennedy and many others in the movie The Man Who Came Back.  She also has also acted in several independent films; Cook County, The Bracelet of Bordeaux, Mexican Gold/Return of the Outlaw, and Backstabber.  She believes Houston has the potential to become a leader in the entertainment industry.  Yankie is represented by Pastorini-Bosby Talent.   sharon@pbtalent.com

Melody “Rusty” Moss, Founding President and Lifetime member of Women in Film & Television/Houston has been actively involved in the performing arts since childhood. Her versatility in front of the camera and behind-the-scenes has been an integral part of a career that has spanned four decades and earned her acclaim.

Formal training in dance led her to Broadway, Off-Broadway, national touring companies and comedy theater productions.  Her tenure in theater included a three-year national run of Whatever Happened to Black Love? and the breast cancer drama Before Time Runs Out with Thomas Meloncon. Her versatility as an actor has commanded the opportunity to play hundreds of diversified roles, including Nita Love in the new television pilot Suspect to Superstar and Sheryl in the feature film 7 Kilos, available on DVD. 

Recently Melody has worked as a producer, script supervisor, production coordinator, location scout, casting, and assistant to the director for New Line Cinema.  She was also an associate producer for United Paramount Network and production accountant for MGM.  Melody served as the Associate Producer for the Independent feature film Cook County, which won five awards including the 2008 Hollywood Film Festival’s “Best Feature Film”.   Her latest caper (in collaboration with Yankie Grant and Melrose Fougere) was to produce the REMI award winning short, DIVORCE TEXAS STYLE.  Melody is partners with Yankie Grant in Rusty Yankie Productions.   

Melody has taken a leadership role in encouraging, supporting and mentoring other aspiring artists in theater, television and film in Texas.  She is represented by A+ Actors of Texas.  book@aplusactors.com
